Position Title: Farm Animal Caretaker

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Farm Animal Caretaker. As a farm animal caretaker, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of our farm animals. You will work closely with our farm manager and other team members to ensure the health and safety of our animals, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our farm facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for farm animals including feeding, watering, and administering medication as needed
• Monitor the health of animals and report any signs of illness or injury to the farm manager
• Maintain clean and sanitary living conditions for animals, including cleaning stalls, pens, and other areas
• Assist with breeding and birthing processes of farm animals
• Ensure that all animals have access to fresh water and clean feed at all times
• Monitor and maintain inventory of feed, supplies, and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and facilities as needed
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for both animals and employees
• Keep accurate records of animal health and activities
• Assist with farm events and educational programs as needed
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement new strategies for animal care and farm operations

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience working with farm animals preferred
• Knowledge of animal behavior and basic veterinary care
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Passion for animal welfare and sustainable farming practices
