Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections of incoming raw materials, work in progress, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
Utilize precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to perform accurate inspections
Record and maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation, including measurements, defects, and corrective actions taken
Communicate any quality issues or concerns with the production team and work together to implement corrective actions
Monitor and maintain the calibration of inspection equipment to ensure accuracy
Conduct visual inspections to ensure products meet aesthetic standards
Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to identify and resolve quality issues
Participate in root cause analysis and help implement preventative measures to avoid future quality problems
Assist in training new employees on quality control procedures and standards
Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations to ensure our products meet all requirements

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent, technical or vocational training in quality control or metal fabrication preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control role, preferably in a metal fabrication environment
Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and standards
Proficient in using precision measuring equipment
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems is a plus
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
