Job Title: Data Platform Architect
Position Summary: As a Data Platform Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's data platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop scalable solutions that meet the needs of our organization. This role requires a strong background in data architecture, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team of data engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement our company's data platform, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop and maintain data architecture standards and best practices
- Lead a team of data engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to support their growth and development
- Perform data modeling, data integration, and data quality activities to ensure data consistency and accuracy
- Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of the data platform to ensure efficient data processing
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data architecture and recommend new tools and techniques to improve the data platform
- Drive data governance and security initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and protect sensitive data
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to other teams within the organization on data-related projects and initiatives
- Collaborate with data scientists to integrate advanced analytics into the data platform and support data-driven decision making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related role
- Strong experience with data warehouse design and implementation, including data modeling and ETL processes
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Proficient in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Java
- Knowledge of data management and governance principles
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop team members
- Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations is a plus
