At ShipCraft, we are a leading shipbuilding company that specializes in the design, construction, and repair of various types of vessels. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipbuilding Welder/Fabricator to join our team.As a Shipbuilding Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding various components of ships, including hulls, decks, and superstructures. You will work closely with our team of engineers and designers to ensure that all welding and fabrication work meets industry standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and fabrication work on various ship components, including hulls, decks, and superstructures
• Interpret and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and other specifications
• Operate various welding equipment and tools, such as TIG, MIG, and stick welders
• Ensure that all welding and fabrication work meets industry standards and specifications
• Monitor and maintain welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Collaborate with team members, including engineers and designers, to ensure project deadlines are met
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures at all times

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a welder/fabricator in the shipbuilding industry
• Extensive knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and materials
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment
• Valid welding certifications preferred
