Key Responsibilities:

Select and arrange musical pieces for performances, taking into consideration the abilities and preferences of the performers.
Conduct rehearsals and provide guidance and feedback to musicians and performers.
Collaborate with other artistic and production staff to ensure cohesive and high-quality performances.
Lead performances and provide clear and effective direction to musicians and performers.
Develop and maintain relationships with musicians, composers, and other artists within the music industry.
Stay updated on current trends and developments in the music industry, and incorporate them into performances and repertoire.
Manage the music department budget and make strategic decisions to maximize resources.
Oversee the recruitment and training of new musicians and performers.
Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the music department.
Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to promote performances and attract audiences.
Ensure the safety and security of all musical equipment and instruments.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in music or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a Music Director in a professional setting.
Proven experience in conducting and directing musical performances.
Strong knowledge and understanding of different music genres and styles.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with artists and staff from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in music software and technology.
Knowledge of budgeting and financial management.
Passion for music and dedication to creating high-quality performances.
