Job Title: Air Traffic Controller

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Air Traffic Controller to join our team. As an Air Traffic Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of air traffic within your assigned airspace. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and order of the skies, working closely with pilots and other air traffic control personnel to manage the flow of air traffic in and out of airports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and direct the movement of aircraft within the assigned airspace, using radar, radio communication, and visual observation.
• Provide timely and accurate information to pilots regarding weather conditions, runway availability, and other critical information.
• Coordinate with other air traffic control facilities to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of air traffic between different sectors.
• Issue clearances and instructions to pilots, including takeoff and landing clearances, altitude changes, and course deviations.
• Maintain constant communication with pilots, utilizing proper phraseology and procedures to ensure accurate and effective communication.
• Monitor and respond to potential conflicts between aircraft, taking necessary actions to avoid collisions.
• Continuously monitor weather conditions, making adjustments and issuing advisories as needed to ensure safe operations.
• Utilize various air traffic control systems and equipment to track and manage aircraft within the assigned airspace.
• Analyze and interpret radar data and other information to identify potential hazards and take necessary actions to mitigate risks.
• Follow strict protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and efficiency of air traffic operations.
• Train and provide guidance to new air traffic controllers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Air Traffic Management, Aviation, or a related field.
• Previous experience as an Air Traffic Controller or in a related field is preferred.
• Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, well-informed decisions.
• Familiarity with air traffic control systems and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
• Valid Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
