Position: Wood Product Production Supervisor

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wood Product Production Supervisor to join our team. As the Wood Product Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process of various wood products, ensuring that they meet quality standards and are completed on time. You will play a crucial role in the success of our company by managing the production team and ensuring that all operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the production process of a variety of wood products, including furniture, flooring, and cabinetry
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished products
• Ensure that all production equipment is well-maintained and functioning properly
• Train, mentor, and manage production team members, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Collaborate with other departments, such as design and sales, to ensure efficient production and timely delivery of products
• Troubleshoot any production issues and implement solutions to improve processes and increase productivity
• Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, and implement new techniques and technologies to improve production processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Wood Science, Forestry, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in wood product production, with a proven track record of managing a production team
• In-depth knowledge of wood species, properties, and uses
• Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and techniques
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and production software
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
