Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and highly motivated Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help others and be committed to delivering quality care to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Administer medications and treatments as per healthcare team's instructions
• Obtain and record patient's medical history and vital signs
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation
• Perform basic medical procedures such as dressing changes, catheterizations, and specimen collection
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide emotional support and answer any questions or concerns
• Adhere to all healthcare policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a certified nursing assistant or patient care technician program
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic patient care procedures
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
