Professor of Education

Position: Professor of Education

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in the field of education.
• Design and implement curriculum and instruction strategies that promote student learning and engagement.
• Conduct research in the field of education and publish findings in academic journals and other relevant publications.
• Mentor and advise students on academic and career pursuits.
• Serve on departmental and university committees related to education.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and develop interdisciplinary courses.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in the field.
• Participate in community outreach programs and initiatives related to education.
• Promote diversity and inclusivity in the classroom and campus community.
• Supervise student research projects and serve as a thesis/dissertation advisor.
• Participate in the recruitment and retention of students.
• Engage in service activities to support the department, university, and profession.

Qualifications:

• A doctoral degree in Education or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching and research in the field of education.
• Proven track record of scholarly publications and presentations in the field.
• Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate level courses.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to student success and mentorship.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.
