Job Title: Student Success Advisor

About the Position: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Student Success Advisor to join our dynamic team. As a Student Success Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting and guiding our students to achieve their academic and personal goals. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive academic advising services to a diverse student population, helping them navigate through their academic journey and ensuring their success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for students, providing guidance and support throughout their academic career
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our academic programs, policies, and procedures to effectively advise students
• Assist students with course selection, registration, and degree planning to ensure timely graduation
• Collaborate with faculty and other departments to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students regarding academic requirements and progress
• Monitor and track student academic progress, identifying at-risk students and implementing intervention strategies
• Conduct regular check-ins with students to address any concerns or challenges they may be facing and provide resources and solutions as needed
• Organize and facilitate workshops and information sessions to educate students on academic success strategies and resources available to them
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records, ensuring compliance with FERPA regulations
• Contribute to the development of academic policies and procedures to improve students' academic experience
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in academic advising to continuously improve our services and support for students

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or student services
• Strong knowledge of higher education policies and procedures
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse student population
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student information systems
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
