Position Title: Estate/Groundskeeper

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estate/Groundskeeper to join our team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our estate and its surrounding grounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, knowledge of landscaping techniques, and a passion for creating a beautiful and inviting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily inspections of the estate and its grounds to ensure they are well-maintained and in good working order.
• Perform a variety of landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, and watering.
• Maintain and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution throughout the estate.
• Monitor and control pests and weeds to keep the estate and grounds free of any potential hazards.
• Coordinate with other team members to schedule and prioritize tasks, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner.
• Keep all outdoor areas clean and free of debris, including patios, walkways, and driveways.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all outdoor equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
• Assist with various projects, such as building and repairing fences, installing outdoor lighting, and constructing garden beds.
• Manage and maintain an inventory of landscaping supplies and equipment, ensuring that all items are stocked and in good working condition.
• Communicate with the estate owner and other staff members to address any concerns or special requests related to the estate and its grounds.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree or certification in horticulture, landscaping, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscaping or groundskeeping, preferably in an estate or high-end residential setting.
• Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, plant care, and irrigation systems.
• Ability to operate and maintain outdoor equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
