Job Title: Hobby, Book & Music Store Sales Associate

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team at our Hobby, Book & Music Store. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting and selling a variety of products, and ensuring a positive and enjoyable shopping experience for our customers. This position requires a passion for books, music, and hobbies, as well as strong sales skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide knowledgeable and accurate information about our products to customers.
• Effectively communicate promotions, sales, and special events to customers.
• Assist customers in finding the right products to fit their needs and interests.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking and arranging merchandise.
• Participate in inventory management and assist in receiving and stocking shipments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of retail sales experience, preferably in a book, music, or hobby store.
• Passion for books, music, and hobbies, with a strong knowledge of current trends and products.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment.
• Strong sales skills, including the ability to upsell and cross-sell products.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in using a point-of-sale system.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
