Key Responsibilities:

Conducting fit sessions on live models and providing detailed feedback to the design team
Developing and maintaining accurate technical specifications and measurement charts for each garment
Creating and grading patterns using CAD software and ensuring they meet design specifications
Collaborating with suppliers and manufacturers to source the best quality materials and trims for our products
Conducting regular quality checks on samples and finished garments to ensure they meet our standards
Identifying and troubleshooting any manufacturing or production issues and providing solutions to ensure timely delivery of products
Researching and staying updated on industry trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously improve our product range
Liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the product development process
Conducting factory visits and providing technical support and training to production teams to ensure consistency in garment construction and quality
Ensuring all garments comply with relevant safety, legal, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Technology, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Garment Technologist in the fashion industry
Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern-making, and grading
Proficient in CAD software such as Lectra or Gerber
In-depth understanding of quality control processes and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for fit, fabric, and construction
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
Willingness to travel for factory visits and sourcing trips
