About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Academic Advisor. As an Academic Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing academic guidance and support to students throughout their academic journey. You will work closely with students to help them achieve their educational goals and ensure their success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic advising to students in person, via email, and over the phone
• Assist students in selecting appropriate courses based on their academic goals, interests, and strengths
• Monitor and track students' progress to ensure they are meeting academic requirements and making satisfactory progress
• Guide students through the course registration process and help them understand degree requirements and academic policies
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop academic support programs and resources for students
• Conduct regular check-ins with students to address any academic concerns and provide necessary support and resources
• Assist students in exploring opportunities for internships, research, and study abroad programs
• Stay updated on changes in academic policies and requirements and communicate them to students
• Organize and facilitate workshops and information sessions for students on various academic topics
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions and academic progress
• Collaborate with other academic advisors and departments to develop and implement strategies to improve student retention and success rates
• Participate in recruitment and orientation events to provide academic advising to potential students
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with students

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or a related role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in using technology and student information systems
• Knowledge of academic policies and procedures
• Understanding of the needs and challenges of diverse student populations
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support to students
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
• Passion for helping students achieve their academic goals
