Personal Care Assistant

As a Personal Care Assistant, you may be required to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. About the Role: We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals who require help with their personal care needs. This includes elderly or disabled individuals who may have difficulty performing daily tasks on their own.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Helping with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
• Monitoring clients' health and reporting any changes to the supervising nurse or family members
• Assisting with mobility and transferring clients from bed to wheelchair or vice versa
• Accompanying clients to medical appointments and social outings
• Maintaining accurate records of clients' care and progress
• Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Adhering to all safety and infection control protocols

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and patient attitude towards elderly and disabled individuals
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
