Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Orchard Supervisor to join our team. As the Orchard Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our orchards. You will work closely with the orchard manager to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of orchard workers, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and on time
• Create and maintain schedules for planting, pruning, harvesting, and other orchard operations
• Monitor the health and growth of trees and plants, identifying any potential issues and implementing solutions
• Oversee the use of machinery and equipment, ensuring that they are properly maintained and operated
• Work with the orchard manager to develop and implement new processes and techniques to improve orchard productivity
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
• Keep thorough records of orchard operations, including inventory, yields, and expenses
• Collaborate with other departments such as sales and marketing to ensure that produce is delivered to customers in a timely manner
• Train and develop new employees, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in orchard management or a similar role
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
• Strong knowledge of orchard operations, including planting, pruning, and harvesting techniques
• Experience with irrigation systems and pest management
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in record-keeping and data analysis
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to orchard operations
