Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Donor Relations Specialist to join our team. As a Donor Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with our generous donors. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our donors feel valued, appreciated, and connected to our organization's mission and impact. This is a critical role that requires exceptional communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain positive relationships with current and potential donors through various communication channels including phone, email, social media, and in-person meetings.
• Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop and implement donor stewardship plans to ensure donors are engaged and informed about our organization's work and impact.
• Manage a portfolio of major donors, providing them with personalized attention, updates, and opportunities to stay involved.
• Develop and implement strategies to identify and cultivate new donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and other organizations.
• Plan and execute donor cultivation events, including small gatherings and larger fundraisers, to engage and recognize donors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and data necessary for donor communications, reports, and proposals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's database, ensuring that all interactions and communications are accurately recorded.
• Stay up-to-date on philanthropy trends and best practices to continually improve donor relations strategies and techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or a related field.
• Proven track record of cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors and achieving fundraising goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information in a compelling manner.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with donor management databases.
• Passion for the organization's mission and values.
