Job Title: Community Development Director

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Development Director to lead our organization's efforts in building and strengthening communities. As the Community Development Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and empower community members, foster collaboration and partnerships, and drive positive change. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement community development plans and initiatives to address the needs and aspirations of the community.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to build a strong network and promote collaboration.
• Engage community members in meaningful ways to understand their needs, concerns, and priorities.
• Lead and manage community development projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other community-based groups to leverage resources and expertise.
• Conduct research and collect data to inform decision-making and measure the impact of community development initiatives.
• Advocate for the needs of the community to local and state government officials and other stakeholders.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote community engagement and participation in decision-making processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with donors and sponsors to secure funding for community development projects.
• Oversee and manage a team of community development professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in community development, urban planning, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in community development, including project management and community engagement.
• Proven track record of successful community development initiatives, including building partnerships and securing funding.
• Strong knowledge of community development principles, practices, and strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Proficiency in project management and budgeting.
• Experience working with government agencies and non-profit organizations.
