Key Responsibilities:

Present daily news bulletins in a clear, concise, and engaging manner
Research and gather news stories from various sources, including press releases, social media, and interviews
Write and edit news scripts, ensuring accuracy, balance, and relevance
Conduct live interviews with guests and experts on current affairs and breaking news
Collaborate with the news team to develop compelling news segments and special reports
Stay updated on current events and trends to provide insightful and informative news coverage
Meet strict deadlines and adhere to broadcasting standards and regulations
Engage with audience through social media platforms and respond to inquiries and feedback
Represent the news station at public events and community gatherings
Assist in the production of news programs and special features
Train and mentor junior news team members

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience as a News Anchor or Reporter in a reputable news organization
Strong on-air presence and excellent communication skills
Knowledge of broadcast equipment and editing software
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Knowledge of current affairs, politics, and social issues
Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities
Proficient in social media platforms and digital media tools
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Strong leadership and team management skills
