Position Type: Full-time

Salary: USD: $7,000 - $11,000 per month

About the Role: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Professional Development Manager to join our team at the Photography Association. As a Professional Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of our members, and support their growth and success in the photography industry. This role requires a strong understanding of the photography industry, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement professional development programs and initiatives to support the growth and success of our members in the photography industry.
• Research and identify relevant industry trends, best practices, and educational opportunities to continually improve our professional development offerings.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design and deliver workshops, seminars, and training sessions on topics such as technical skills, business management, and marketing for photographers.
• Create and manage a database of resources, including online courses, articles, and webinars, to provide members with easy access to valuable learning materials.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of professional development programs and initiatives, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Act as a mentor and coach for members, providing guidance and support in their professional development journey.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals and organizations to stay updated on the latest developments and opportunities in the photography industry.
• Represent the association at industry events and conferences, and participate in networking activities to promote our professional development programs.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns to increase awareness and participation in our professional development offerings.
• Manage the budget for professional development activities and ensure all expenses are within the allocated budget.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Photography, Business, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional development role, preferably in the photography industry.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the photography industry, including current trends and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and training sessions.
• Proven experience in program development and project management.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Willingness to travel for industry events and conferences.
