Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements for medical devices
• Conduct research and feasibility studies to generate new ideas and solutions for medical devices
• Develop and implement design concepts, from prototype to final product, using CAD software and rapid prototyping techniques
• Perform design verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and product specifications
• Conduct risk assessment and mitigation strategies throughout the product development process
• Utilize engineering principles and design controls to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of medical devices
• Plan and execute experiments and tests, analyze data, and make recommendations for design improvements
• Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical device technology, regulations, and industry standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical device research and development
• Proficient in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques
• Strong understanding of medical device regulations and standards, such as FDA and ISO
• Knowledge of design controls, risk management, and verification and validation processes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and precision in work
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
