Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will work closely with our veterinarians to provide exceptional care to our animal patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with the daily operations of the clinic and ensure the well-being of our animal patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures, and surgeries
• Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Perform routine laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic imaging
• Monitor and record vital signs of animal patients
• Provide post-operative care and monitoring
• Assist with animal restraint and handling
• Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment
• Educate clients on proper animal care and medication administration
• Communicate with clients and answer any questions or concerns
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility
• Knowledge of basic animal care and medical terminology
• Experience with animal restraint and handling
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to lift and restrain animals as necessary
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
