Position: Track Maintenance Worker

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Track Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a Track Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our railway tracks. You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals to maintain and repair tracks, switches, and other railway infrastructure. This is a physically demanding job that requires a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect tracks, switches, and other railway infrastructure to identify any damage or potential hazards.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on railway tracks, including replacing worn-out components, adjusting track alignment, and repairing damaged sections.
• Operate hand tools and power equipment to complete tasks such as removing and replacing spikes, bolts, and rail anchors.
• Use specialized equipment, such as rail saws and grinders, to cut and shape tracks as needed.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and follow established protocols to ensure track safety and reliability.
• Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute track maintenance projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in track maintenance or a similar field is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Physically fit and able to perform physically demanding tasks in all types of weather conditions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of railway safety protocols and regulations is an asset.
