Film Editor

This is a full-time position with standard office hours, but some evening and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines. The Film Editor will primarily work in an office setting, but there may be opportunities to travel on location for shoots. As a key member of the production team, the Film Editor must be able to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Position: Film Editor

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Film Editor to join our production team. As a Film Editor, you will be responsible for crafting and shaping visual content into a cohesive and compelling story. Your primary role will be to take raw footage and transform it into a final product that meets our clients' expectations and aligns with our company's vision and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and assemble raw footage into a polished and visually appealing final product
• Collaborate with the director, producers, and other team members to understand the project's goals and vision
• Utilize industry-standard software and tools to edit, color grade, and add visual effects to footage
• Ensure that the final product meets technical and aesthetic requirements, including aspect ratio, frame rate, and audio levels
• Make necessary revisions and adjustments based on feedback from the director and producers
• Work within project timelines and meet deadlines set by the production team
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and software advancements to continually improve editing skills and processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, or a related field
• Proven work experience as a Film Editor or similar role
• Extensive knowledge and proficiency in industry-standard editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro
• Strong understanding of film editing principles, techniques, and best practices
• Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from others while also bringing creative ideas to the table
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• A portfolio or reel showcasing previous work and demonstrating a variety of editing styles and techniques
