StyleTrend Apparel is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clothing Buyer to join our team. As a Clothing Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our company's success by identifying and sourcing the best clothing products for our customers. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, negotiating pricing and terms, and staying up-to-date with market trends. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven individual with a passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement buying strategies to meet company goals and objectives
• Identify new and existing vendors, negotiate pricing and terms, and establish strong relationships to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products
• Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends, competitor pricing, and consumer demands
• Analyze sales data to make informed buying decisions and effectively manage inventory levels
• Collaborate with the Merchandising team to plan assortments and make product recommendations
• Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure on-time delivery of products
• Travel to trade shows and vendor meetings to source new products and build relationships
• Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
• Communicate and negotiate with vendors to resolve any issues that may arise
• Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and best practices
• Continuously strive to improve processes and identify cost-saving opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail buying, preferably in the clothing industry
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating pricing and terms with vendors
• In-depth knowledge of market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed buying decisions
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with retail management systems
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary
• Passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail
