Position: Database Security Administrator

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Security Administrator to join our team. As a Database Security Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of our company's databases. This is a critical role in our organization, as we handle sensitive and confidential data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain database security strategies and procedures to ensure the protection of our company's data
• Monitor database security systems and identify potential vulnerabilities or threats
• Conduct regular security audits to identify any potential risks and take necessary actions to mitigate them
• Work closely with the IT team to ensure that all databases are secure and comply with company policies and procedures
• Develop and maintain data encryption protocols to safeguard sensitive information
• Create and maintain user access controls and permissions for all databases
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure the availability of data in case of any unexpected events
• Keep up-to-date with the latest database security trends and technologies to continuously improve our security systems
• Investigate and respond to any security incidents or breaches in a timely manner
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all security protocols are being followed and provide necessary training when needed
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to database security processes and procedures
• Troubleshoot any database security issues and provide timely resolutions
• Communicate with external security agencies or vendors when necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration and security management
• Strong knowledge of database security principles and best practices
• Experience with database security tools and technologies such as encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
• In-depth understanding of database management systems, specifically SQL and Oracle
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are preferred
