Stock Clerk

The Stock Clerk will work primarily in the store, with occasional work in the storage area. This position requires standing for long periods, bending, reaching, and lifting heavy objects. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Job Overview: We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stock Clerk to join our team at Fresh Fare Supermarkets. The Stock Clerk will be responsible for maintaining the inventory levels and ensuring that the store shelves are fully stocked with fresh and high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and check incoming deliveries of products, ensuring that they match the order and are in good condition.
• Stock shelves and displays with products in a timely and efficient manner.
• Rotate products to ensure that the oldest items are placed at the front for customers.
• Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or low stock levels to the Store Manager.
• Keep the storage area clean and organized, ensuring that products are stored properly.
• Answer customer inquiries and assist them in finding products as needed.
• Ensure that all products are properly labeled and priced.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to create attractive displays and promotions to increase sales.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed, such as cashiering or customer service.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory management and stocking procedures.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
