Job Title: CNC Machine Operator - Wood Products
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our team in the wood products industry. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality wood products. This is a full-time position with potential for growth and advancement within our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform woodworking tasks such as cutting, shaping, and drilling
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the setup procedures and machining sequences
- Program CNC machines using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software
- Monitor machine operations to ensure products are produced according to specifications
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and guidelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a wood products manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and programming CNC machines
- Understanding of woodworking tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks
