Job Title: Fruit Farm Hand

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Fruit Farm Hand. As a Fruit Farm Hand, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our fruit farm, working alongside our experienced team to ensure the production and harvest of high-quality fruits. This is a physically demanding position that requires individuals who are comfortable working outdoors and have a passion for agriculture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the planting, cultivation, and harvesting of various types of fruits, including but not limited to apples, peaches, and berries.
• Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery such as tractors, sprayers, and harvesters.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as pruning, fertilizing, and irrigation to ensure the health and growth of fruit trees.
• Monitor and identify any signs of pests or diseases, and take necessary measures to prevent damage to crops.
• Pack, sort, and grade fruits according to size, color, and quality standards.
• Load and unload crates of fruits onto trucks for transportation to markets or processing facilities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper disposal of waste and debris.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in agriculture or farming is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining farm equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
