Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop steel structures according to project specifications, codes, and standards
Analyze and calculate load capacities, stresses, and deflections of steel structures using engineering software and manual calculations
Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for steel structures
Conduct structural inspections and evaluations to identify potential issues and provide solutions
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure the compatibility of steel structures with other building components
Research and recommend new materials, techniques, and procedures to improve the design and construction process
Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring that the steel structures are completed within the given constraints
Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during the implementation of steel structures
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel involved in the project

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel design and construction
Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design software, such as SAP2000, STAAD Pro, and AutoCAD
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, such as AISC, ACI, and ASCE
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
Proven project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
