Position: Senior Civil Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various civil engineering projects from conception to completion. You will use your expertise to ensure that projects are completed within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering principles, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage various civil engineering projects, including planning, design, and construction phases.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure that all project milestones are met.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction work is being carried out according to plans and specifications.
• Collaborate with other engineers and professionals to design and develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
• Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
• Manage project contracts, including negotiation, administration, and change management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns or issues.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Participate in business development activities, including preparing proposals and attending client meetings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
• Proven experience managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and contract management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Experience with project management software is an asset.

Working Conditions:

• This is a Full-time, permanent position.
• Some travel may be required to visit project sites.
• Work may be conducted in both office and outdoor environments.
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
