Position: Data Storage Migration Specialist

The Data Storage Migration Specialist will play a critical role in the data management team, responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient transfer of data between storage systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for data management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute data storage migration projects, including assessing current storage systems, developing migration strategies, and coordinating with stakeholders
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure data integrity and security during the migration process
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the migration process
• Develop and maintain documentation related to data storage systems and migration processes
• Monitor and analyze data usage and storage trends to make recommendations for optimization and cost savings
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in data storage and migration
• Provide training and support to end-users on new storage systems and processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management, with a focus on storage systems and data migration
• Strong understanding of data storage concepts, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage
• Experience with data migration tools and processes
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
