Position: Environmental Education Coordinator

Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Environmental Education Coordinator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to plan, develop, and implement environmental education programs for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to promoting environmental awareness and conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement environmental education programs for both youth and adults
• Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote environmental education initiatives
• Create engaging and interactive lesson plans and activities that align with state and national education standards
• Coordinate and lead field trips, workshops, and other educational events
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date on current environmental issues and trends
• Manage and maintain educational materials and resources
• Train and supervise volunteers and interns involved in environmental education programs
• Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for improvement
• Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations to secure funding and resources for environmental education programs
• Serve as a spokesperson for our organization at community events and conferences

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, education, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental education or a related field
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
• Knowledge of state and national education standards and environmental regulations
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and educational software
• Experience working with diverse populations and in multicultural settings
• Passion for environmental conservation and education
