Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Park and Recreation Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of our park and recreation facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for outdoor recreation and a desire to create an enjoyable and safe environment for all park visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to ensure the efficient operation of park and recreation facilities.
• Supervise and train park staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and providing guidance and support.
• Create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all park visitors.
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of park facilities, including playgrounds, sports fields, and trails.
• Coordinate and oversee special events and programs within the park.
• Monitor park activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and address any potential hazards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and other groups to promote park programs and events.
• Assist with budget planning and management, including monitoring expenses and seeking out cost-saving measures.
• Prepare reports and presentations on park usage, programs, and events.
• Stay up-to-date on current trends and regulations in the park and recreation industry.
• Act as a liaison between park staff and management, effectively communicating any issues or concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in parks and recreation management, leisure studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role within a park or recreation facility.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for park facilities.
• Passion for outdoor recreation and a commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
