Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough quality inspections of incoming raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications and standards set by the company and industry regulations
Utilize various measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to perform precise measurements and identify any defects or discrepancies
Document and report any quality issues or concerns to the production team, and work closely with them to implement corrective actions
Maintain accurate and organized records of all quality inspections, test results, and any necessary adjustments made to products
Collaborate with the quality control team to develop and implement quality control procedures and processes to improve overall product quality and efficiency
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement
Conduct regular audits to ensure that all equipment, tools, and materials used in the production process are properly calibrated and maintained
Train and educate production team members on quality control procedures and standards to foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement
Communicate with suppliers and external quality inspectors to resolve any quality issues or concerns related to materials or products
Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations, and make recommendations for process and product improvements based on industry advancements

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Quality Control or a related field is preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality control within a metal manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and quality control techniques
Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems
Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects and discrepancies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of safety and quality regulations and protocols

Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when needed to meet production demands or address quality concerns.
