Job Title: Shipbuilding Quality Control Inspector

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipbuilding Quality Control Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our quality control department, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our shipbuilding processes meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of our shipbuilding projects, identifying any defects or issues, and working closely with our production team to ensure that all vessels meet the necessary specifications and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of shipbuilding projects at various stages of production, including initial construction, installation, and final completion.
• Utilize a variety of testing methods, equipment, and tools to ensure that all components and materials meet quality standards and adhere to safety regulations.
• Create and maintain detailed inspection reports, including photographs, measurements, and other relevant data.
• Identify any defects or issues and work closely with the production team to develop solutions and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor and track all quality control processes and procedures, ensuring that they are being followed correctly and consistently.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and design, to ensure that all shipbuilding projects meet the necessary specifications and regulations.
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards and regulations, and make recommendations for process improvements as needed.
• Conduct training for production team members on quality control procedures and standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, naval architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the shipbuilding industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes, procedures, and regulations.
• Familiarity with various testing methods and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and analyze defects and issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to travel to various shipbuilding sites as needed.
