Job Title: Wood Products Packaging and Shipping Coordinator

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Wood Products Packaging and Shipping Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the packaging and shipping process for wood products, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills. The Wood Products Packaging and Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all wood products are packaged and shipped efficiently and accurately, while maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee the packaging and shipping process for all wood products, including but not limited to lumber, plywood, and finished wood goods.
• Ensure that all wood products are properly packaged and protected for shipping, taking into account factors such as size, weight, and fragility.
• Work closely with production and inventory teams to ensure that all wood products are available and ready for packaging and shipping.
• Coordinate with carriers and logistics companies to schedule and track shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers.
• Communicate with customers regarding shipping schedules, tracking information, and any potential issues or delays.
• Ensure that all packaging and shipping materials are properly stocked and organized to meet production and shipping demands.
• Monitor and maintain quality control standards for packaging and shipping, including conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues that arise.
• Train and supervise packaging and shipping team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Keep up-to-date records and documentation of all packaging and shipping activities, including inventory, orders, and shipping costs.
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging and shipping, preferably in the wood products industry.
• Strong understanding of wood products and their packaging and shipping requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience working with inventory and shipping software.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to packaging and shipping.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
