Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop plans for new marine structures, including ships, offshore platforms, and underwater structures
Conduct feasibility studies and analyze data to determine the most effective and efficient design for each project
Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and blueprints for marine structures
Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and naval architects to ensure all designs meet safety, technical, and environmental standards
Oversee the construction process and provide technical guidance and support to contractors and construction teams
Conduct inspections and tests on marine structures to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the construction or maintenance process
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in marine engineering technology and incorporate them into project designs
Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Communicate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide regular progress updates on projects
Mentor and train junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine engineering, with a focus on designing and building ships and offshore structures
Proficient in CAD software and other engineering design tools
In-depth knowledge of marine engineering principles, including ship stability, hydrodynamics, and structural design
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Willingness to travel and work in various locations as needed
