Job Title: Data Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure, as well as developing and implementing data pipelines. You will work closely with our data scientists and analysts to ensure the smooth flow of data throughout our organization. This role requires a strong background in data engineering, as well as the ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex data challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable and efficient data pipelines to collect, store, and process large volumes of data from various sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and implement solutions to support their needs.
• Develop and maintain our data warehouse and data lake, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Create and maintain data models and schemas to organize and structure data for optimal accessibility and usability.
• Implement and maintain ETL processes to transform and load data into our data warehouse and data lake.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks.
• Continuously evaluate and improve data infrastructure and processes to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and incorporate them into our data strategy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, Scala) and experience with scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Shell).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
