Position: Data Security Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Security Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Data Security Specialist, you will be responsible for protecting our organization's data and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. You will play a critical role in safeguarding our data from potential threats and ensuring its integrity and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data security protocols and procedures to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access, modification, or destruction
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks
• Monitor and analyze network traffic for any suspicious activities and take necessary actions to mitigate potential threats
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security gaps and implement appropriate controls
• Stay updated on the latest security threats and industry best practices to continuously enhance our data security measures
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a security breach or system failure
• Conduct regular security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of data security
• Respond to security incidents and breaches in a timely and effective manner, and conduct thorough investigations to determine the root cause and prevent future occurrences
• Stay updated on data privacy laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and requirements
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to data security policies, procedures, and incident response plans

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data security, information security, or a related role
• Strong understanding of network security protocols and tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption techniques
• Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA
• Experience with security assessment tools and techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, will be considered an asset.
