Job Title: Environmental Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Environmental Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and implementing environmental programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science or engineering, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a passion for promoting sustainability and protecting the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement environmental programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including but not limited to air quality, water quality, waste management, and environmental remediation.
• Conduct site assessments and audits to identify potential environmental risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into all aspects of our operations.
• Stay current with all relevant environmental regulations and industry best practices, and make recommendations for updates to policies and procedures accordingly.
• Coordinate with government agencies and other stakeholders on environmental permit applications and renewals.
• Manage and maintain all environmental records, reports, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct training and provide guidance to employees on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in emergency response planning and provide support during environmental incidents.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments for new projects and developments.
• Identify and implement opportunities for improving sustainability and minimizing environmental impacts.
• Monitor and track key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of environmental programs and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management on environmental performance, compliance, and future initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental compliance and management.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex environmental concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Experience conducting environmental audits and assessments.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of sustainability principles and practices.
• Strong commitment to promoting environmental stewardship and sustainability.
