Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Paper Mill Operator to join our team. As a Paper Mill Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the paper-making machines, ensuring the production of high-quality paper products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of operators and technicians to meet production targets and maintain the smooth operation of the paper mill.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor the paper-making machines, including stock preparation, forming, pressing, drying, and finishing
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any machine issues to ensure smooth operation
• Adjust machine settings to maintain the desired paper quality and production output
• Monitor and inspect paper products for defects and take corrective actions when necessary
• Maintain accurate production records and reports
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Train and mentor new operators on machine operations and safety protocols
• Collaborate with other team members to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
• Participate in training programs and stay updated with new technologies and techniques in the paper-making industry

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paper Mill Operator or in a similar role
• Knowledge of paper-making processes and machinery
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
