Job Title: Tasting Room Attendant

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Tasting Room Attendant to join our team. As a Tasting Room Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all of our guests. This position requires excellent communication skills, a passion for the wine industry, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests to our tasting room in a professional and friendly manner
• Provide knowledgeable and informative tastings of our wines to guests
• Educate guests on the history of our winery, our winemaking process, and the characteristics of our wines
• Promote and sell our wines, merchandise, and wine club memberships
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including stocking shelves and replenishing supplies
• Process guest transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system
• Assist with event set-up and execution, including pouring wine and interacting with guests
• Maintain a thorough understanding of our wines and be able to answer any questions from guests
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including responsible service of alcohol
• Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales goals and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in hospitality or related field preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in the wine industry
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current ABC Certification or be able to obtain one
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong sales skills and ability to upsell and promote products
• Knowledge and passion for wine and the wine industry
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 40 pounds
• Proven ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to a positive company culture
• Reliable transportation to and from work
