Job Title: Collections Supervisor

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Collections Supervisor to join our team. As a Collections Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of collections agents and overseeing the collection efforts for our company. Your primary goal will be to ensure timely and effective collection of outstanding payments from our customers. This is an ideal role for someone who has a strong background in collections and is looking to take on a leadership position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the collections department and ensure that collections targets are met
• Manage a team of collections agents, providing them with guidance, support, and training as needed
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of collections agents, providing feedback and coaching to help them improve
• Develop and implement collection strategies and procedures, in coordination with the company's credit policies
• Review and analyze collection data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Liaise with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve any issues that may impact collections efforts
• Collaborate with senior management to establish and monitor collection goals and KPIs
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
• Prepare reports and present findings to senior management on a regular basis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in collections, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of collections strategies and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in using collection software and MS Office
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as FDCPA
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
