Position Title: Philanthropy Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Philanthropy Specialist. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage donors and cultivate relationships with potential philanthropic partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fundraising, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of philanthropy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive philanthropy strategy aimed at engaging donors and cultivating new relationships
• Identify and research potential philanthropic partners, including individuals, foundations, and corporations
• Maintain a portfolio of donors and prospects, and build strong relationships through regular communication and stewardship
• Create compelling proposals and presentations to secure philanthropic partnerships and donations
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop effective messaging and materials for philanthropy initiatives
• Plan and execute events and campaigns to engage donors and raise awareness about our organization's mission and impact
• Stay informed about philanthropy trends and best practices, and use this knowledge to continually improve our strategy and approach
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of donations and grants
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all donor interactions and contributions in our database
• Collaborate with other fundraising team members to ensure a coordinated and cohesive approach to philanthropy efforts
• Represent our organization at community events and networking opportunities to build awareness and support for our mission

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, preferably in a non-profit organization
• Proven track record of successfully cultivating and securing philanthropic partnerships and donations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong relationship-building and networking abilities
• Knowledge of philanthropy best practices and trends
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with donor databases
• Passion for our organization's mission and values
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and donor meetings
