Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Farm Animal Supervisor to join our team. As a Farm Animal Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the care and management of our farm animals, including but not limited to cows, pigs, and chickens. You will work closely with our farm manager and other supervisors to ensure the health and well-being of our animals while maintaining efficient farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and train farm workers in animal care and handling techniques
• Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of all farm animals
• Develop and implement animal husbandry protocols and procedures
• Ensure compliance with all animal welfare standards and regulations
• Coordinate with veterinarians for routine check-ups and treatments
• Maintain accurate records of animal health, production, and performance
• Oversee feeding, breeding, and birthing processes
• Manage farm equipment, facilities, and supplies related to animal care
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene of animal living spaces
• Identify and resolve any issues related to animal behavior or health
• Collaborate with farm manager to develop budgets and manage expenses related to animal care
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in animal welfare and husbandry practices
• Train and assist with the supervision of farm interns and volunteers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in farm animal management
• In-depth knowledge of animal behavior, health, and husbandry practices
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Proficiency in operating farm equipment and machinery
• Familiarity with farm management software and record-keeping systems
• Passion for animal welfare and sustainable farming practices
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary
