Sea Crest Maritime University is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Dean of Academics. As the Dean of Academics, you will play a critical role in shaping and leading our academic programs, ensuring the highest quality of education for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement academic policies and procedures that align with the overall mission and vision of the institution.
• Lead and manage a team of faculty members, providing them with guidance and support to enhance their teaching skills and professional development.
• Oversee the curriculum design and development process, ensuring that it meets the standards and requirements set by relevant accreditation bodies.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as admissions and student services, to ensure a seamless and cohesive learning experience for students.
• Monitor and evaluate the academic performance of students and provide support and guidance to those who are struggling.
• Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in the education industry, and implement necessary changes to enhance the academic programs.
• Represent the institution at academic conferences and events, building relationships with other academic professionals and institutions.
• Develop and manage the academic budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and exploring opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students, promoting diversity and cultural awareness.
• Serve as a mentor and role model for students, encouraging their personal and academic growth.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in academic leadership roles, preferably as a Dean or Assistant Dean.
• Master's or PhD degree in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of academic policies and procedures, as well as accreditation standards.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven track record of curriculum design and development.
• Ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
• Passion for education and a student-centered approach.
• Familiarity with technology and its integration into the academic setting.
