Job Title: Tour Guide

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide to join our team and lead visitors through our city's most iconic and culturally significant sites. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for providing a memorable and educational experience to our guests through your engaging storytelling and in-depth knowledge of the city's history, architecture, and culture. Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests at the designated meeting point and provide an overview of the tour itinerary
• Lead groups of tourists to various locations, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the tour
• Conduct in-depth research and maintain a thorough understanding of the history, culture, and architecture of the city
• Deliver engaging and informative commentary to guests, using a variety of storytelling techniques to keep them entertained and interested
• Respond to questions and concerns from guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Handle unexpected situations in a calm and efficient manner, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on tour, including providing emergency assistance if necessary
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing our company with pride
• Collaborate with other tour guides and team members to continuously improve tour experiences and develop new routes and itineraries
• Ensure that all equipment and materials needed for the tour are in good working condition and report any issues to the appropriate department
• Collect feedback from guests and incorporate suggestions for improvement into future tours

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in History, Tourism, or related field preferred)
• Previous experience as a tour guide or in a customer-facing role is highly desirable
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge of the city's history, culture, and architecture
• Ability to engage and entertain a diverse group of guests for an extended period of time
• Customer service oriented with a friendly and approachable personality
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle unexpected situations with ease
• Physically fit and able to walk for extended periods of time and in various weather conditions
• Fluent in multiple languages is a plus
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
