Position: Metal Fabricator

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal products based on blueprints, drawings, and specifications. You will use a variety of tools and equipment to cut, shape, bend, and join metal materials to create high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
• Cut, shape, and bend metal materials using various manual and automated tools and equipment
• Weld, solder, and braze metal components to join them together
• Operate machines such as shears, press brakes, and drills to cut and shape metal materials
• Ensure all finished products meet quality standards and specifications
• Inspect and troubleshoot completed products for any defects or issues
• Maintain and clean all equipment and work area to ensure a safe and organized environment
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and goals
• Continuously improve skills and knowledge by staying up-to-date with industry developments and techniques

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Metal Fabricator or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of different metal types and their properties
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Experience with various fabrication techniques such as cutting, bending, and welding
• Ability to operate various tools and equipment such as shears, press brakes, and drills
• Skilled in using hand and power tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods of time
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a fabrication environment
