Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers for our organization. This is a vital role in our company as volunteers play a crucial role in helping us achieve our mission.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer program for the organization
• Recruit volunteers through various channels such as social media, community events, and networking
• Screen and interview potential volunteers to ensure their skills and interests align with our organization's needs
• Provide orientations and training for new volunteers
• Create and maintain volunteer schedules and coordinate with program managers to ensure coverage for all events and activities
• Communicate with volunteers regularly to keep them engaged and informed about upcoming opportunities
• Assist in the development and implementation of volunteer recognition programs to show appreciation for their contributions
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer information and hours
• Collaborate with other departments to identify volunteer needs and develop volunteer roles for specific projects or events
• Continuously evaluate and improve the volunteer program to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with the organization's goals

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, human resources, or a related field preferred
• Previous experience in volunteer management or recruitment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management
• Knowledge of volunteer management software is a plus
